Passionate Love for God
Believing the motives for our actions are more important to God than mere outward acts, we encourage believers to obey and serve God from hearts motivated by gratitude and passionate love for Christ rather than by guilt or pressure (Matthew 22:37).
Genuine Love for Others
Believing that love and unity within the Church gives credibility to our witness to others, we encourage believers to love one another fervently and give their best effort to promote unity in the church (John 13:34-35, 17:20-22; Ephesians 4:3; Matthew 12:25).
Strong Biblical Teaching
Believing God’s Word is absolutely sufficient to meet and minister to every need in our lives, we are committed to uncompromising biblical preaching and teaching as a primary means of promoting Christlike maturity (Psalms 1:1-3; Acts 20:32; 2 Tim. 3:16-17, 4:1-2).
Godly Leadership
Believing that Christ alone is the true Head of the Church, we encourage God’s people to humbly submit to the collective wisdom of godly elders who seek the mind and will of Christ for this ministry (Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 13:17; I Peter 5:1-5)
Personal Holiness
Believing that God desires every believer to be conformed to the image of His Son, we stress the importance of genuine repentance from sinful attitudes and actions as well as the active pursuit and personal growth in holiness through obedience to God’s Word (Romans 12:1-2; I Peter 1:14-16).
Active Intercession
Believing that genuine spiritual ministry that impacts our lives can only be accomplished in and through God’s power and blessing, we encourage God’s people to faithfully pray on behalf of the church and its ministry to others (Matthew 7:7-11; Ephesians 6:18). Nothing of eternal value is ever accomplished apart from prayer.
Shared Ministry
Believing that every Christian is blessed with a God-given spiritual talent or ability, we encourage all members to seek God’s leading regarding the discovery and faithful use of their gifts for the good of others and for the glory of God (I Cor. 12:4-7; I Peter 4:10-11; Eph. 4:11-16).
