As pastor at Newlife, Doug brings over 46 years of solid ministry experience. His goal is helping Believer’s focus on his or her personal walk and helping them know and understand the Bible and God’s desires for their life. Doug encourages other Believers to put joy back in to their lives through solid Bible teaching, meaningful heartfelt worship, encouraging fellowship, and helping them to be a bright light (testimony) to the spiritual needy in our community. An important emphasis of his ministry at NewLife is for God’s people to understand the “simplicity” of being a Christ Follower and help them on their
journey to a New Life in Jesus Christ. Pastor Doug came to Christ himself in 1971.
In 2016 Pastor Doug helped plant NewLife Church in the San Carlos/La Mesa area and has been Pastor for 10 years. Doug was Associate Pastor one of the most thriving and growing churches in the San Diego area for 34 years. He and his wife Jeanne served there for 38 years watching it grow from 50 to 2,000 in attendance at its peak. Doug and Jeanne have 6 children, 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pastor Jordan brings an enormous amount of experience to the ministry. He is a Biblical counselor, Bible institute instructor and evangelist. For several years Doug and his family traveled holding evangelistic meetings and conducting marriage/family and music seminars. His
family has recorded 8 conservative evangelistic music CD’s.
Pastor Jordan has earned a BA in Secondary Education and ThM in Theology & Theological Studies from Sacramento Baptist College, a Masters of Arts from Baptist Christian University in marriage/family counseling. He studied for 3½ years at Liberty University and is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Ministry program from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
